• Lightweight, breathable tops and T-shirts

  • Tip: if you’re planning on washing anything and having it dry to wear again note that the humidity levels are so high that the likelihood of something fully drying (without a machine) overnight is very low. Pack more than you think you will need. 

• UV long-sleeved shirts

• Skirts/flowy dresses

  • Another essential you want to pack more of than you think you’ll need. The humidity and heat are no joke and having extra items to change into halfway through the day is key to comfort.

• Sandals are best (Teva’s or similar)

• Good quality poncho

• Waterproof cover for luggage/backpack

• Backpack

• Shawl for sun protection or modesty in temples

• Travel-sized umbrella for rain or sunshade

• Money belt or neck pouch for keeping valuables secure

  • Tip: its just the nature of traveling sometimes but you must be mindful of crowds and holding your phone up for photos. Keep your belongings close to your body and be mindful of those around you.
